There is no federal shelter licence for a typical 501(c)(3) rescue: we don't invent a USDA number and we don't fill in every state. The Animal Welfare Act licenses dealers, exhibitors and research. Face-to-face adoption is the retail pet store exemption, not a federal shelter desk. EIN is tax, not the shelter number. IRS is not the organisation desk. A Class C exhibitor (zoo, circus) is not the refuge. A foster home is not a municipal pound. USFWS wildlife licences are not for dogs and cats. AKC is pedigree, not ONG. HSUS is not the organisation desk. Pet licensing is the adopter's, and it is state or city law, not a federal duty. If you have a state or municipal licence, paste it. If not, you can send.
